Partners are required to meet rigorous requirements for certification and expertise.
New Horizons CLC of Singapore has reached the status of Gold Certified Partner for
Competencies in Learning Solutions and Information Workers Productivity Solution
by demonstrating increased levels of developer certification, deep real-world experience,
and by providing completed customer reference projects that were independently verified
by Microsoft.
Through engagement with Microsoft, Microsoft Gold Certified Partners have in-depth
access to a variety of exclusive resources and early product information. Resources
include priority access to a support team of Microsoft certified systems engineers,
non-disclosure evaluation of new products and technologies, as well as planning
tools and events to keep up to speed on the latest Microsoft product developments
and future direction.
New Horizons CLC of Singapore employs Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCPs);
individuals who have passed certification exams designed to validate their mastery
using Microsoft tools and technologies. A recent study of Microsoft Certified Systems
Engineers (MCSEs) and their supervisors by Jack McKillip, Ph.D. at Southern Illinois
University, rated MCPs as highly effective workers on the job and IT supervisors
rated MCSEs as more competent on all global dimensions as compared to non-certified
systems engineers. Be sure to ask for a MCP on your next project.

New Horizons CLC of Singapore is a Gold Level Novell Authorized
Training Partner in the Asia Pacific Region. They are a cooperative force in improving
solutions, tools and expertise for the IT community. With Novell
taking a leading position in the Linux* and open source movement, Novell is working
with its authorized partners to embrace the Linux strategy worldwide. New Horizons
CLC of Singapore has been a part of this strategy with Novell for the past two years.
In an association with Novell, Gold partners such as New Horizons CLC of Singapore
are provided with all the latest Novell subscriptions and resources as well as access
to the latest software to stay up to date with Novell products. Resources are provided
to ensure that the hardware and the technology used are supported by Novell’s latest
training products. New Horizons also employs CNIs (Certified Novell Instructors)
on staff to present training. These instructors ensure that the training delivered
will meet with the criteria Novell sets forth for its Gold level partners. Through
this expertise, New Horizons has been able to offer many Novell seminars over the
years that provide more in depth understanding of Novell products. Novell also requires
its partners to offer the “Metrics that Matter” evaluation tool which measures the
overall quality of the training experience. This helps to maintain the standard
of excellence that Novell is known for in Training materials.
In addition to these partner benefits, New Horizons Singapore is also an Authorized
Practicum Testing Provider. This means that in addition to receiving high-quality
Linux training, customers can also participate in Novell’s new state-of-the-art
testing technology to assess the knowledge and understanding of their training experience.
This practical, hands-on testing methodology is offered at New Horizons as well
as other Authorized Practicum Testing partners.
